His Excellency Minister Dr. Ramzi Khoury, Director-General of the Palestinian National Fund and President of the Higher Presidential Committee of Churches Affairs in Palestine, appreciated the role of all Palestinian security services, especially the police and national security services, in making the Christmas celebrations successful, particularly the Christmas parade, which was exclusively sponsored by the Presidential Committee, for their participation in driving the caravans, transporting the exhibitors, organizing the traffic in all four governorates and providing parking for the caravans of the parade.
In a meeting with Major General Nidal Abu Dukhan, the Commander of the National Security Forces, at the headquarters of the National Security services in Ramallah. Dr.Khoury stated “The participation of the security services in the holiday celebrations confirms the interdependence and cohesion of the Palestinian social fabric, which embodies the highest signs of unity, where this image of unity, sends a message to the world, that the Palestinian people with its Muslims and Christians, through their leadership and security services celebrate together the feast of the son of Palestine, Jesus Christ.”
Moreover , Major General Abu Dukhan expressed his readiness to assist and support in achieving the main common and national goal between the Presidential Committee and the National Security Services in establishing the Palestinian presence in general and preserving the Christian presence in particular in the State of Palestine.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Ramzi Khoury, presented an appreciation plaque to Major General Nidal Abu Dukhan, for his cooperation in spreading the Christmas spirit and joy in the hearts of the Palestinian children.
The meeting was attended by Issa Kassissieh, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Vatican and a member of the Presidential Committee. Ambassador Amira Hanania, General Manager of the committee, along with General Mohammad Shehadeh Abu Al-Hajj, Assistant to the Commander of National Security Services and Mr. Bashar Al-Solh, General Manager of “Media Plus”, organisers of the Christmas parade.
